MY STORY

As well as managing my own private practice I am also the Director of Therapy in a group of Children’s Homes in Staffordshire; where we care for children who have suffered the effects of trauma and abuse. I have undertaken extensive further training in the areas of Attachment, Trauma and Disassociation. I make clinical assessments and design therapy programmes for these children.
I am amongst a handful of therapists working in the UK, who are trained in Dr Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and can offer this assessment. My interest in this field has led to my research of how trauma and its effects can impact upon brain function and development. This led me to deliver a presentation to the International Society of Trauma and Dissassociation, in Montreal 2011.
I live in Staffordshire, follow football, enjoy the gym and have a keen interest in music, travel and food. I have been involved in therapy of all kinds for 20 years, during which time I have enhanced my potential both academically and practically, so that I now have the full confidence to help people overcome a wide range of personal issues.
I am a published author. My book ‘Coping with Kids’ is a simple and straight forward guide for anyone who looks after children for any length of time.
